The failure rate for those I have given this approach to has been mostly due to a corrupted Win Install or hardware failure. We have used this for cleaning out the junk that builds in all 'Win Installs' returning boot time to some thing reasonable! It is also excellent for preparing a PC for that Free Win 10 Upgrade.
